La Liga (Week 10) : Elche beats Espanyol 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 2, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 10: After losing 0-2 to Sevilla on October 25 and 3-1 to Valencia on October 25, Los Franjiverdes returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Jonathas scored dual goals
Elche dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonathas in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Franjiverdes further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Jonathas in the 52nd minute.
RCD Espanyol are down in 12nd place with 10 points from 10 games, one point behind Athletic Bilbao.
