La Liga (Week 13) : Villarreal defeats Cordoba 2-0
SPAIN, Nov. 30, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 13: Two wins in a row for Villarreal. After their 2-1 win against Getafe on November 23, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Cordoba this Sunday.
Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Luciano Vietto in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Uche in the 71st minute.
Villarreal CF climbed to 6th place with 21 points from 13 games, 3 points behind Valencia CF, which has a game in hand.
