La Liga (Week 13) : Bilbao defeats Getafe 2-1
SPAIN, Nov. 29, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 13: Two wins in a row for Athletic Bilbao. After their 3-1 win against Espanyol on November 21, Los Leones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Getafe this Saturday.
Athletic Bilbao dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Mikel San José in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Leones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Etxebarria seconds before the end of regulation.
Athletic Bilbao remains in 9th place with 18 points from 13 games, tie on points with Villarreal CF, which has a game in hand.
