La Liga (Week 18) : Granada hold Real Sociedad to 1-1
SPAIN, Jan. 11, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 18: The match between Granada and Real Sociedad ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Real Sociedad players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mexican forward Carlos Vela on penalty in the 36th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Granada with a saving goal from Granada midfielder Rico on penalty in the 79th minute.
Real Sociedad climbed to 12nd place with 19 points from 18 games, only one point behind Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, which has a game in hand.
