SPAIN, Jan. 18, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 19: After losing 3-1 to Barcelona on January 11, Los Colchoneros bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Granada this Sunday.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Croatian forward Mario Mandžukić in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by García with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Atletico Madrid remains in third place with 41 points from 19 games, tie on points with FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
