La Liga (Week 18) : Malaga hold Villarreal to 1-1
SPAIN, Jan. 10, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 18: The match between Malaga and Villarreal ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Villarreal players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mexican midfielder Jonathan dos Santos in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Malaga with a saving goal from Moroccan forward Nordin Amrabat in the 60th minute.
Villarreal CF remains in 6th place with 32 points from 18 games, one point behind Sevilla FC, which has two games in hand.
