La Liga (Week 22) : Elche beats Rayo 2-0
SPAIN, Feb. 9, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 22: After losing 0-6 to Barcelona on January 31 and 1-0 to Granada on January 31, Los Franjiverdes bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Monday.
Elche dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uruguayan defender Suarez in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Franjiverdes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Rodriguez with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Rayo Vallecano de Madrid are down in 15th place with 23 points from 22 games, tie on points with Getafe CF.
