La Liga (Week 22) : Atletico defeats Real Madrid 4-0
SPAIN, Feb. 7, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 22: After five straigth victories against Espanyol, Getafe, Cordoba, Real Sociedad and Sevilla, Los Blancos lost 4-0 against Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Tiago ('14) and Ñiguez ('18). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Griezmann '67 and Mandžukić '89).
Real Madrid remains in first place with 54 points from 22 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
