La Liga (Week 35) : Elche defeats Malaga 2-1
SPAIN, May. 3, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: Two wins in a row for Elche. After their 4-0 win against Deportivo La Coruna on April 29, Los Franjiverdes continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Malaga this Sunday.
Elche dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Jonathas in the 30th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Franjiverdes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pasalic with one minute left in regular time.
Malaga CF are down in 8th place with 47 points from 35 games, one point behind Athletic Bilbao.
