La Liga (Week 35) : Espanyol and Rayo play out 1-1 draw
SPAIN, May. 3, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: The match between Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Rayo Vallecano players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Argentine defender Insua in the 29th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Espanyol with a saving goal from Mexican defender Héctor Moreno in the 80th minute.
RCD Espanyol climbed to 9th place with 46 points from 35 games, only one point behind Malaga CF, which has a game in hand.
