La Liga (Week 36) : Espanyol beats Eibar 2-0
SPAIN, May. 8, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 36: After their 1-1 draw against Rayo Vallecano on May 3, Los Periquitos bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Eibar this Friday.
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Garcia in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Stuani in the 60th minute.
RCD Espanyol climbed to 7th place with 49 points from 36 games, 5 points behind Villarreal CF, which has a game in hand.
