La Liga (Week 22) : Gijon beats Valencia 1-0
SPAIN, Jan. 31, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Sporting Gijon. After their 5-1 win against Real Sociedad on January 22, Los Rojiblancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 1-0 victory over Valencia this Sunday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Paraguayan forward Sanabria Antonio on penalty in the 50th minute.
Valencia CF are down in 12nd place with 25 points from 22 games, one point behind Getafe CF.
