La Liga (Week 29) : Bilbao beats Betis 3-1
SPAIN, Mar. 13, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 29: Four wins in a row for Athletic Bilbao. After their success against Valencia, Deportivo La Coruna and Sporting Gijon, Los Leones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Real Betis this Sunday.
Merino Sabin scored dual goals
Athletic Bilbao dominated the first half thanks to goals from Merino Sabin ('34) and Rico Mikel ('44). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Leones further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Merino Sabin in the 50th minute.
Athletic Bilbao remains in 6th place with 47 points from 29 games, one point behind Sevilla FC.
