La Liga (Week 34) : Real Madrid beats Villarreal 3-0
SPAIN, Apr. 20, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 34: 8 wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Levante, Celta Vigo, Las Palmas, Sevilla, Barcelona, Eibar and Getafe, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Villarreal this Wednesday.
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Karim Benzema in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Vazquez Lucas '69 and Modrić '76).
Real Madrid remains in third place with 78 points from 34 games, one point behind Atletico Madrid.
