La Liga (Week 35) : Real Madrid defeats Rayo 3-2
SPAIN, Apr. 23, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: 9 wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Levante, Celta Vigo, Las Palmas, Sevilla, Barcelona, Eibar, Getafe and Villarreal, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Saturday.
Gareth Bale scored dual goals
Rayo Vallecano had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Embarba ('7) and Miku Fedor Flores ('14), while Real Madrid only scored once Bale ('35). Trailing 2-1 at half time, Los Blancos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Vazquez Lucas '52 and Bale '81).
Real Madrid climbed to first place with 81 points from 35 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
