La Liga (Week 35) : Levante draw 2-2 with Bilbao
SPAIN, Apr. 24, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 35: Athletic Bilbao was held to a 2-2 draw by Levante on Sunday.
Levante players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Levante forward Casadesus Victor in the 13th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Etxeita Xabier goal into his own net ('68) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Athletic Bilbao with goals by Markel Susaeta ('88) and Mikel San José ('90).
Athletic Bilbao remains in fifth place with 55 points from 35 games, 5 points behind Villarreal CF, which has a game in hand.
