La Liga (Week 37) : Barcelona defeats Espanyol 5-0
SPAIN, May. 8, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 37: Four wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Deportivo La Coruna, Sporting Gijon and Real Betis, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 5-0 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Luis Suárez scored dual goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Argentine forward Lionel Messi in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Suárez '52, '61, Rafinha Alcantara '74 and Neymar '83).
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 88 points from 37 games, one point ahead of runner-up Real Madrid.
