SPAIN, Jan. 7, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 17: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 1-0 win against Las Palmas on December 17, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Eibar this Saturday.
Eibar made Atletico Madrid doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Ñiguez ('54) and Griezmann ('74).
Atletico Madrid climbed to fourth place with 31 points from 17 games, 2 points behind Sevilla FC, which has a game in hand.
