SPAIN, Oct. 23, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: After losing 1-2 to Villarreal on October 15, the Blanquivermells returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna this Monday.
Girona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Benitez Aday in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Portu Cristian in the 71st minute.
Girona FC climbed to 15th place with 9 points from 9 games, tie on points with Getafe CF.
