Ligue 1 (Week 17) : Bastia beats Metz 2-0
FRANCE, Dec. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 17: After losing 5-0 to Monaco on December 3, Bastia bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Metz this Saturday.
Bastia dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Gaël Danic in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Bastia players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Saint-Maximin in the 75th minute.
Metz are down in 15th place with 18 points from 16 games, one point behind AS Nancy-Lorraine.
