FRANCE, Jan. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 21: After a 1-0 victory over Sochaux on January 11, Metz lost 2-1 against Valenciennes.
Sigamary Diarra scored dual goals
Metz midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto opened the score in the 35th minute, before seeing Valenciennes catch up in the 37th minute thanks to Sigamary Diarra. 1-1 at half time. The Athenians eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Diarra with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Metz are down in fifth place with 33 points from 21 games, one point behind Clermont Foot.
