HONIARA, May. 10, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 (Qualifiers) : The Solomon Islands defeated Tonga by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Oceania Nations Cup on Monday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
The result put the Solomon Islander top of Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, the Solomon Islands will meet the Cook islands at the Lawson Tama Stadium on May 12, while Tonga will face the Cook islands.
