HONIARA, May. 12, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 (Qualifiers) : The Solomon Islands defeated the Cook islands by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Oceania Nations Cup on Wednesday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
The result put the Solomon Islander top of Group 1 with 6 points. The Cook islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, the Solomon Islands will meet New Caledonia at the Lawson Tama Stadium on May 15, while the Cook islands will face Tonga.
