HONIARA, May. 10, 2004 (AMP) — Australia 2004 (Qualifiers) : Tahiti defeated the Cook islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 Oceania Nations Cup on Monday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
The result put the Tahitians second in Group 1 with 3 points. In their next game, Tahiti will meet New Caledonia at the Lawson Tama Stadium on May 12, while the Cook islands will face the Solomon Islands.
