Primeira Liga (Week 6) : Sporting defeats Estoril 4-2
PORTUGAL, Sep. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 6: After losing 3-1 to Rio Ave on September 18, the Sportinguistas returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Estoril this Friday.
Bas Dost scored dual goals
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dutch forward Bas Dost in the 13th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Coates '59, Dost '62 and Andre Ribeiro '90).
Sporting Clube de Portugal climbed to first place with 15 points from 6 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up SL Benfica and FC Porto.
