Primeira Liga (Week 8) : Guimaraes beats Estoril 2-0
PORTUGAL, Oct. 23, 2016 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 8: After their 3-3 draw against Sporting Lisbon on October 1, the Vimaranenses bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Estoril this Sunday.
Vitoria Guimaraes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Soares Tiquinho in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Vimaranenses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Raphinha Dias in the 72nd minute.
Vitoria SC climbed to fifth place with 14 points from 8 games, tie on points with SG Braga, which has a game in hand.
