Primeira Liga (Week 18) : Maritimo and Sporting play out 2-2 draw
PORTUGAL, Jan. 21, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 18: Sporting Lisbon was held to a 2-2 draw by Maritimo on Saturday.
Maritimo players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Bessa Eber ('8) and Silva Raul ('33) while Sporting Lisbon only scored once Dost ('24). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Sporting Lisbon with a saving goal from Martins Gelson in the 60th minute.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in fourth place with 35 points from 18 games, one point behind SG Braga, which has a game in hand.
