Primeira Liga (Week 22) : Chaves defeats Arouca 2-0
PORTUGAL, Feb. 18, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 22: After their 0-0 draw against Boavista on February 11 and 0-0 draw against Vitoria Setubal on February 11, the Flavienses returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Arouca this Saturday.
Chaves dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Belarusian midfielder Bressan Renan in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Flavienses further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Martins with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
GD Chaves climbed to 6th place with 32 points from 22 games, 3 points behind Vitoria SC, which has a game in hand.
