Segunda division (Week 27) : Girona beats Numancia 2-1
SPAIN, Mar. 1, 2015 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 27: After losing 2-1 to Real Betis on February 21, the Blanquivermells returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Numancia this Sunday.
Granell opened the score in the 31st minute on penalty, before seeing Numancia catch up in the 42nd minute thanks to Cicinho. 1-1 at half time. The Blanquivermells eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Sandaza on penalty with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Girona FC climbed to third place with 51 points from 27 games, tie on points with Real Valladolid.
