Segunda division (Week 36) : Leganés beats Athletic B 2-1
SPAIN, May. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 36: Two wins in a row for Leganés. After their 3-0 win against Ponferradina on April 23, Los Pepineros continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-1 victory over Bilbao Athletic this Monday.
Bilbao Athletic had started off well by taking the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Santamaria Gorka. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Pepineros nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Szymanowski Alexander '56 and Pires Gabriel '61).
CD Leganés remains in first place with 63 points from 36 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Deportivo Alavés.
