Segunda division (Week 40) : Tenerife beats Alcorcon 3-1
SPAIN, May. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 40: After their 2-2 draw against Huesca on May 20 and 0-0 draw against Levante on May 20, Los Chicharreros bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Alcorcon this Sunday.
Tenerife dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lozano Anthony ('10) and Shibasaki Gaku ('31). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Chicharreros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Del Pino Tyronne in the 57th minute.
CD Tenerife climbed to third place with 53 points from 32 games, 2 points behind Girona FC, which has a game in hand.
