Serie B (Week 24) : Verona draw 2-2 with Benevento
ITALY, Feb. 3, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 24: The match between actual leader Hellas Verona and Benevento ended in a frustrating 2-2 draw on Friday.
Benevento players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Cisse Karamoko ('10) and Lucioni Fabio ('27) while Hellas Verona only scored once Luppi Davide ('20). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Hellas Verona with a saving goal from Romulo Caldeira on penalty in the 90th minute.
Hellas Verona remains in first place with 45 points from 24 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Benevento Calcio.
