LEóN, Jun. 11, 1970 (AMP) — Mexico 70 : Bulgaria tied 1-1 with Morocco (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Estadio León.
The Bulgarians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bulgarian defender Dobromir Zhechev in the 40th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Morocco with a saving goal from Moroccan midfielder Maouhoub Ghazouani in the 61st minute.
