PUEBLA, Jun. 10, 1986 (AMP) — Mexico 86 : Italy defeated South Korea by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla.
Alessandro Altobelli scored dual goals
Italy dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Alessandro Altobelli in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Italians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Altobelli '73 and Kwang-rae '82/own).
