TURIN, Jun. 16, 1990 (AMP) — Italy 90 : Brazil defeated Costa Rica by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Stadio delle Alpi in Turin.

All the action happened in the first half, with Brazilian striker Müller goal in the 33rd minute.

The result put the Brazilians top of Group C with 4 points. Costa Rica is second with 2 points. In their last game, Brazil will meet Scotland at the Stadio delle Alpi on June 20, while Costa Rica will face Sweden.
