PASADENA, Jun. 18, 1994 (AMP) — USA 94 : Romania defeated Colombia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Florin Raducioiu scored dual goals
Romania dominated the first half thanks to goals from Raducioiu ('15) and Hagi ('34). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Romanians further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Raducioiu with one minute left in regular time.
The result put the Romanians top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Romania will meet second-placed Switzerland at the Rose Bowl on June 22, while Colombia will face the United States.
