PASADENA, Jun. 26, 1994 (AMP) — USA 94 : Romania defeated the United States by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

All the action happened in the first half, with Romanian defender Dan Petrescu goal in the 18th minute.

Romania and USA both advance to the Round of 16.
