PARIS, Jun. 25, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : Belgium tied 1-1 with South Korea (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The Belgians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Belgian forward Luc Nilis in the 7th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by South Korea with a saving goal from Korean defender Yoo Sang-chul in the 71st minute.
