BORDEAUX, Jun. 26, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : Argentina defeated Croatia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Friday afternoon at the Stade Chaban Delmas in Bordeaux.

All the action happened in the first half, with Argentine defender Mauricio Pineda goal in the 36th minute.

Argentina and Croatia both advance to the Round of 16.
