INCHEON, Jun. 14, 2002 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 : South Korea defeated Portugal by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Friday night at the Munhak Stadium in Incheon.
45 minutes of play and neither the Koreans nor the Portugueses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Korean midfielder Park Ji-sung in the 70th minute.
