SHIZUOKA, Jun. 11, 2002 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 : Germany defeated Cameroon by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday night at the Shizuoka Stadium.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Bode ('50) and Klose ('79).

Germany advance to the Round of 16. Cameroon is eliminated.
