HANOVER, Jun. 20, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : Poland defeated Costa Rica by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Niedersachsenstadion in Hanover.
Bartosz Bosacki scored dual goals
Costa Rican forward Rónald Gómez opened the score in the 25th minute, before seeing Poland catch up in the 33rd minute thanks to Bartosz Bosacki. 1-1 at half time. The Poles eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Bosacki in the 65th minute.
