BERLIN, Jun. 20, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : Germany defeated Ecuador by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
Miroslav Klose scored dual goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to goals from Klose ('4, '44). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Podolski in the 57th minute.
