BLOEMFONTEIN, Jun. 14, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Japan defeated Cameroon by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
All the action happened in the first half, with Japanese midfielder Keisuke Honda goal in the 39th minute.
The result put the Japanese second in Group E with 3 points. In their next game, Japan will meet group leaders the Netherlands at the Free State Stadium on June 19, while Cameroon will face Denmark.
