World Cup 2010 : Denmark beats Cameroon 2-1
PRETORIA, Jun. 19, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Denmark defeated Cameroon by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday night at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto'o opened the score in the 10th minute, before seeing Denmark catch up in the 33rd minute thanks to Nicklas Bendtner. 1-1 at half time. The Danes eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Rommedahl in the 61st minute.
The result put the Dane third in Group E with 3 points. Cameroon is bottom with no points. In their last game, Denmark will meet second-placed Japan at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on June 24, while Cameroon will face the Netherlands.
