JOHANNESBURG, Jun. 14, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : The Netherlands defeated Denmark by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday afternoon at Soccer City in Johannesburg.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Agger ('46 own) and Kuyt ('85).
The result put the Dutch top of Group E with 3 points. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet Japan at Soccer City on June 19, while Denmark will face Cameroon.
