Championship (Week 23) : Aston Villa beats Burton 2-1
ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for Aston Villa. After their 0-1 win against QPR on December 18, the Villans continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Burton Albion this Monday.
Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna opened the score in the 15th minute, before seeing Burton Albion catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Jamie Ward. 1-1 at half time. The Villans eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by McCormack in the 78th minute.
Aston Villa climbed to 10th place with 34 points from 23 games, tie on points with Barnsley FC.
