ENGLAND, Dec. 26, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 23: Two wins in a row for Barnsley. After their 3-4 win against Cardiff City on December 17, the Tykes continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers this Monday.
Barnsley dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Winnall Sam in the 14th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Tykes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Watkins Marley in stoppage time.
Barnsley FC climbed to 9th place with 34 points from 23 games, 2 points behind Derby County FC, which has a game in hand.
