Championship (Week 8) : Preston beats Birmingham City 3-1

ENGLAND, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 8: Two wins in a row for Preston. After their 3-0 win against Cardiff City on September 12, the Lilywhites continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 3-1 victory over Birmingham City this Saturday.

Birmingham City had started off well by taking the lead in the 35th minute with a goal by French defender Maxime Colin. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Lilywhites nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Johnson Daniel '56, Hugill Jordan '60 and Barkhuizen '67).

Preston North End FC climbed to fourth place with 15 points from 8 games, 2 points behind Cardiff City.
