WALES, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 8: Cardiff City was held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Sheffield Wednesday players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Sheffield Wednesday forward Gary Hooper in the 39th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Cardiff City with a saving goal from Ivorian defender Sol Bamba in the 90th minute.
Cardiff City are down in third place with 17 points from 8 games, tie on points with Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
